What is your truth? What defines you that others should see and that you must live?
How many of us put on masks, erect barriers, or turn our backs on others wanting only to be left alone? Far too many of us and far too many times.
We all, understandably, want to be accepted and know that we belong in the world we know. We pretend we’re okay and fine, and refuse to show our pain. We hide who we really are, what really matters to us, and that we’re hurt or confused.
We hesitate to let others see the self that we know is inside for fear of being rejected. So we cover it up.
It’s time we become honest with ourselves. It’s time we seek the authentic self inside and take the time to know what matters to us, what line in the sand we will not cross, and discover our soul’s truth.
Heal your pain through knowing your heart.
Once we know our truth we must then have the courage to live our truth. And to do this, we cannot fear what others think. Yes, fears and doubts will still be there. Yes, others might be confused by who you are becoming. Yes, it takes courage to allow your true self to live in the open. Do it anyway.
What is it that you must live boldly and not be concerned with what others think?
What is it that you must live above all else?
What is your truth?
Becoming your truth will be challenging but oh so necessary. Living it, so that others see it, can be frightening, especially if it’s a truth about yourself that you’ve been covering up for a long time. Do it anyway.
Live yourself in small, quiet steps or in loud proclamations. We hide too much from our truths and fear living our truths.
Now is a good time to start to change.
